Jurmala - the city on the wave!



Jurmala – the largest resort city in the Baltic States  is well-known for its natural treasures – the mild climate, sea, healthy air, curative mud and mineral water. The attraction of Jurmala hides in its almost 33 km long white sand beach, the large pine forest and the natural border of the city – the river Lielupe. In Jurmala, you will discover a combination of charming wooden houses built in the beginning of the last century and modern resort buildings.

In Majori and Bulduri, where the Blue Flag flies, companies of young people are going on rides on water bicycles that are available for rent right here,  relaxing in beach cafes, playing beach football and volleyball or building sand castles together with children.

Jurmala beach is the ideal place for the families. The coastal water is very shallow, that is why it is safe for children to paddle and build sand castles, while parents are sunbathing.

Dubulti and Dzintari beaches are usually the places of open competitions in beach football and volleyball, where everybody is welcome to participate. Why not to bring the Cup of Jurmala as a souvenir, reminding about the active rest in Jurmala resort!

It is possible to try kite-and windsurfing on Pumpuri beach. It is very interesting and exciting. The experienced coaches will provide You a special costume and necessary equipment, as well as show the basics of the surfing art.

Further in the direction of Jaunkemeri, the beach becomes more peaceful. Here you can daydream, read books, while listening to the relaxing sound of the waves.
